Hasbro is officially wowing us right now with the release of brand new Beast Wars figures that are show accurate to the classic TV series from 1996-1999. If you’ve read our Rhinox review, you would know just how thrilled we are to be finally getting show accurate figures as not all the vintage figures from 1996 had lived up to their TV counterpart in terms of likeness and accuracy. Jump ahead to 2013, we now have a show accurate Waspinator that fans have been waiting for in the Generations line. IDW Comics had brought back characters such as Waspinator and Rattrap and included them into the Robots in Disguise comic series. What also might have helped bring this figure to life is that Waspinator was included into the Transformers Hall Of Fame.
Availability: December 2013
Sculpt:
Waspinator uses an all-new sculpt that is based on the TV series Beast Wars. He features movable wings on ball joints and can also be raised by press the level on the back downward. This figure was also given a show accurate head and especially the mouth , and a show accurate gun.
Paint:
Waspinator is painted in dark and light green, with a yellow and black stinger and legs, blue bug eyes, and was given clear plastic wings, stinger and eyes. His purple Predacon logo is painted on the back.

Overall:
Hasbro has made an excellent update to Waspinator and we just love the fact the head finally has those show accurate mouth pieces missing from all previous releases.
