Shown first at San Diego Comic-Con 2013, Mattel had announced a new line of DC action figures in 4″ scale based on the video game and feature film franchises. The first wave consists of characters from the Batman: Arkham City video game. There are a total of 18 figures that have been confirmed at this time. This new line of action figures depicts the characters likeness and features multiple points of articulation.
Availability: December 2013; widely released January 2014.
Sculpt:
Mr. Freeze has an all-new sculpt that features a sealed dome around his head that cannot be removed, a detached backpack that has to be connected onto his back, a freeze blast gun, and has a lot of texture, wiring, and detail sculpted on.
Paint:
He is painted in a black suit with turquoise wires and detailing, a grey stomach, silver panel on the chest with yellow markings, and a light grey head with red glasses and black straps around his head.
Articulation:
Ball jointed shoulders, hinged biceps, swivel wrists, swivel chest, ball jointed hips, hinged legs.
Accessories:
Freeze blast gun.
Overall:
Mr. Freeze looks great with solid joints and he’s made to withstand the abuse that a child could inflict on their toys. From a collectors standpoint, he would look best displayed with other 4″ figures and since he only comes with one accessory compared to Bane having none, this may or may not he a line that you would want to start collecting just because it’s on the pegs.
Somewhat Recommended.
