Playmates Toys had released a mini Turtles Sub based on the animated series airing on Nickelodeon. In the series, the Turtles Sub was used only once for an underwater mission and was big enough to fit all four Turtles. This release is scaled down to a fraction of what the size should be and it can only fit one figure.

Sculpt & Paint:
The Turtles Sub is an all-new sculpt and features a periscope, spring loaded jaw, a spring loaded torpedo launcher, a finger flicker torpedo, and a weapons storage for Donnie’s Bo Staff. It has some great texture on the shell, measures 8 inches long and can store Diver Donnie inside the cockpit. There are two handle bars and a screen inside for Donnie. The sub is painted grey and green with a red stripe across the face and green neon eyes.
Diver Donnie is an-all new sculpt and does not share any parts with Battle Shell Donatello. Sculpted on his body is a diver vest and goggles sculpted onto his head. He has a weapons sheath for his knife sculpted on his left leg and another one on his back for his bo staff. He is painted in a black divers vest with yellow and silver. His bandanna has a brighter purple compared to Battle Shell Donatello and he has purple wrist bandages, diver pants, and a silver watch sculpted onto his left wrist.
Articulation:
Diver Donnie includes a ball jointed head, hinged and swivel shoulders, hinged and swivel elbows, hinged and swivel hips and ankles.

Overall:
Despite the fact it has been scaled down to a $19.99 price point and can only hold one figure, it’s still a nice looking vehicle. Playmates Toys has done a great job here as this is a neat looking sub.
