Gallery Update – Images added with proton packs removed.
With Ghostbusters 3 coming out, it only makes sense for Diamond Select Toys to come out with a new minimates box set to commemorate the new movie. Ghostbusters “I Love This Town” box set includes Peter Vankman, Egon Spengler, Ray Stanz, and Winston Zeddemore all in their original Ghostbusters I tan uniforms, and includes removable proton packs, removable walkie talkies from their belts, proton streams, traps, a PKE Meter, ecto-goggle, additional heads for Peter and Egon, Marshmallow hair pieces for Peter and Egon, and clear acrylic figure stands.

Sculpt & Paint:
Each Ghostbusters figure is based off the standard 2″ minimates sculpt and each figure comes with a removable proton pack so that you can display them just in their tan uniforms. This would also work if Diamond Select Toys did a minimates Ecto-1 one day. On each uniform there are the name patches on the upper left side and Ghostbusters logo on the right shoulder.
Egon –
Includes two interchangeable heads each with their own unique expression, a marshmallow hair piece, PKE Meter, trap, removable walkie talkie from the belt, proton stream, and a removable Ghost Trap that can be stored on the left side of the proton pack.
Peter –
Includes two interchangeable heads each with their own unique expression, trap, removable walkie talkie from the belt, proton stream, and a removable Ghost Trap that can be stored on the left side of the proton pack.
Ray –
Includes a marshmallow hair piece, removable walkie talkie from the belt, proton stream, Ecto-Goggles, trap with step, and a removable Ghost Trap that can be stored on the left side of the proton pack.
Winston –
Includes a removable walkie talkie from the belt, proton stream, and a removable Ghost Trap that can be stored on the left side of the proton pack.
Aside from all of the above, each figure also includes a stand.
Articulation:
Swivel head, ball jointed shoulders, hinged elbows, swivel wrists, swivel waist, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, hinged knees.
Overall:
Fans of Ghostbusters should jump on getting this set as this is one of the best sets being offered this year. The included accessories and attention to detail on these is spectacular.
However, since the proton packs are removable, we do want to see an Ecto-1 car in minimates scale one day. That would certainly top LEGO.
