After many months of anticipation, fans finally are able to see what The Unnamed One looks like. This is Mattel’s 2014 Club Eternia Subscriber exclusive figure and one of the incentives to sign-up this year. Gorpo, the actual name for The Unnamed One, was the original name for Orko in He-Man & The Masters Of The Universe Filmation series, and was even used on Orko packaging in countries outside the U.S.
Ever since word got out what The Unnamed One looked like by leaked images online (some long time readers would know that we did not post those images purposely not to ruin the surprise), some fans were disappointed by how he looked and the fact that he is a Trollan, which are less than half the size or a standard MOTUC figure. This is a risky move by Mattel making him the subscriber-only exclusive figure, and if they showed what he looked like, it would have certainly cost them subscription sales and in turn we might not have gotten a 2014 subscription out of it. So keeping his appearance a secret was a good idea.
Before his reveal, it was confirmed that The Unnamed One had created The Snakemen such as King Hsss, and that there Snakemen were sent all across the galaxy each led by a general of The Unnamed One.
As far as his appearance goes, the creator of the Snake Men would have to be a sorcerer and since there are few that we know of outside of Eternia, a Trollan would make sense.

Sculpt & Paint:
The Unnamed One features an all new sculpt with a newly sculpted wand and green magic blast effect. This attachment fits into his left hand and has snakes sculpted in at the end. Our guess is that this effect and the way it was sculpted is meant to grab an opponents face while The Unnamed One turns them into a snake man. As you turn the blast effect while in the figures hand, he falls over. To correct this, make sure you also turn the figure stand away from whatever direction the blast effect is facing.
He has two different head sculpt with one a standard Trollan hood painted in purple and the other has a metal helmet painted black with spikes, a mohawk, and details sculpted on. This is a very unusual look for a Trollan with this second head.
The body has black armor, pouches, a red and silver skull on his stomach, and a torn blue shirt hanging off of him.
Articulation:
Ball jointed head, ball jointed-hinged shoulders, swivel elbows, swivel wrists.
Accessories:
2 heads, blast effect, wand, figure stand, mini-comic – He-Man vs. Skeletor! Their Final Battle).
Bio:
The Unnamed One: Evil Lord of Chaos
Real Name: Gorpo
Formerly an Overlord of the Timeless Dimension, this great wizard betrayed his bretheren when he attempted to steal the Power of the Universe for himself. The Aura of the Gods was infused into the Sword of He for protection and Gorpo was stripped of his form and banished to the Nameless Dimension. Here he became known as the Unnamed One, spoken of only in whispers and myth. During his exile, he discovered a method of combining DNA of several reptilian species. He used this knowledge to create an army of cold-blooded warriors which he commanded to raid magical planets in an attempt to consolidate power for his revenge. His evil schemes were at last undone after Dare, the new He-Ro, confronted him in single combat slaying the ancient mage with the very power he once attempted to steal.
Overall:
It’s safe to say as a $25 subscriber sign-up exclusive, we were hoping for a standard sized figure. Despite The Unnamed One being an all new tooled figure, with a newly tooled blast effect, wand, second head, and mini-comic, we are not sure that he fits in with the price point. However, the mini-comic is a really a bonus here and Mattel did not offer this on a day-of sale. So whatever it costs them to make one of these, Mattel used a lot of resources here to do this and in such a limited subscriber-only amount. So long run they probably needed to sell a figure of this size just to offset the cost of the mini-comic.
The figure itself is excellent and extremely well detailed.
Highly Recommended.
