Marvel Legends Infinite Series Amazing Spider-Man 2014 Wave 2 Review

Marvel Legends Infinite Series Amazing Spider-Man Toxin, Spider Woman and Boomerang are the swap figures now shipping to retailers. However, distribution on these has been very scarce and you usually never find these twice at least in the stores. While the quality on these are excellent, there are still some issues with short packing the latest case assortments with 1 each of these figures while both Spider-Man action figures get 2 per case. This makes it even harder to find these in stores as most collectors will not buy these wave 1 carry forward figures.

Sculpt & Paint:

Toxin has a bulkier sculpt compared to Carnage with hands nearly twice the size. He has a very nice textured head sculpt with long sharp teeth, a green tongue and mouth, and small yellow eyes. His paint scheme is a mix of red and brown, with black around the eyes. The vines on his back are the same as Carnages as well as the same size.

Spider Woman is shorter and thinner than The Black Cat and has a more simplistic design to her. Her costume is smooth and painted black with a white spider design. She has an all new head sculpt with a black mask with big white bug eyes over her face and brown hair. The main problem we have with her is the lack of accessories. At this price point even with a BAF piece we did not need she is rather expensive without an accessory such as a spider web.

Boomerang has a great sculpt with a black and white costume, visor, and a backpack capable of holding all 4 of his boomerangs. Spider-Man’s foes are one step closer to completion as this is Boomerangs Marvel Legends debut and was never offered by Toybiz or Hasbro until now. What is great is that both of his hands are open fisted and each capable of holding a boomerang.

Articulation:

Toxin – Ball hinged head, ball hinge shoulders, swivel biceps, double hinged elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, hinged knees, swivel and pivot ankles.

Spider Woman – Ball hinged head, ball hinge shoulders, hinged elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab rotation, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged ankles.

Boomerang – Ball hinged head, ball hinge shoulders, swivel biceps, hinged elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, hinged knees, swivel and hinged ankles.

Accessories:

Boomerang includes 4 boomerangs.

Overall:

Hasbro continues to come out with some incredible Marvel Legends action figures and these three are no exception. You can see that the passion is there simply by the amazing sculpting work done and we have high hopes for the Marvel Legends line now turning 12 years old this year.
