G.I. JoeCon 2014 had some great exclusives this year and one of our personal favorites was the Special Ops 2-pack with Clutch and Ice Storm. This set completes the Zombie Initiative box and are these characters also featured in the convention Zombie Initiative comic book driving the Rescue Ops 4×4 Vamp Jeep.

Sculpt & Paint:
Clutch – Clutch features removable tan armor with pouches, tan and black trimmed knee pads, a holster for his silencer pistol, a helmet, and a riot mask that fits over the helmet. His uniform is colored in tan and dark grey with black trim, gloves and boots. The armor can be removed by popping off the head and lifting the armor upward.
Ice Storm – He’s dressed in extreme cold weather gear also used with the Rise Of Cobra Ice Storm action figure. We noticed that Clutch and Ice Storm use the same upper leg molds with the holster and pouch, but a different lower leg and knee pads. The winter jacket is painted in red and black with a U.S. flag on the right shoulder, and a pirate skull with crossing swords on the left shoulder. The rope wrapping around his jacket is tight but not sculpted on.

Standard for 25th Anniversary figures.

Clutch – Removable armor, helmet, riot mask, chain saw, silencer pistol, rifle, bio card, figure stand.
Ice Storm – Goggles, medic case with a removable IV bag and CPR electric jolts, oxygen tank, stretcher, machine gun, silencer, bio card, figure stand.
Overall:
This is an excellent set and worth tracking down, if you don’t mind paying an arm and a leg for it.
