After 6 years of Masters Of The Universe Classics, Mattel have givens fans the highly anticipated release of Blade for the first time since the 1980’s in action figure form. While he’s not based on the movie and only the vintage toy, this didn’t stop actor Anthony De Longis, star of Masters Of The Universe live-action film from 1987 and had played the role of Blade, to make videos in the past two years supporting Masters Of The Universe Classics during the summer while the subscriptions were for sale. Mr. De Longis wanted to see Blade make the line as much as the fans.

A pirate from the Kylax system, Blade arrived on Eternia in a spell of light cast by Skeletor to increase his forces. Agreeing to join the Overlord of Evil for the right price, Blade sold his services and took part in the Second Ultimate Battleground, fighting blade to blade with He-Man himself at the top of Viper Tower. He later traveled with a small renegade party, paid to seek the Cosmic Key from its inventor. Although he failed in this mission, his deadly mastery of the sword left its mark, and he became one of the most wanted men in Eternian history. Blade uses his dual swords to battle heroic warriors – for the right price!
Blade is an excellent update to the vintage toy and long overdue for a Classics update.
