Mattel’s second Masters of the Universe mini 2-pack includes Battle Armor Skeletor and a flocked Moss Man. We are thrilled that Mattel flocked the mini version of Moss Man, but are also upset with them for not flocking his ears as well. If you recall the 6″ Classics release of Moss Man, that figure had 2 variations released in March 2010, a flocked years and un-flocked ears. The flocked ears version is considered the rarer of the two as Mattel sold out of it in minutes, and did not reissue it like they did the non-flocked eared version.
One way they could have made it up to the many fans is by flocking the mini versions ears or offering another two pack with a flocked ears variant. We discussed this figure the other day after we finished the G.I. JoeCon exclusive reviews, and found out that the flocked eared version of Moss Man is one of two figures that no one that works on this website owns. That’s unusual for us not owning a figure in this line and we hope to see a flocked eared Moss Man reissue from Mattel someday.
Incase anyone is wondering, the two pieces released to build Castle Grayskull do not connect. We’ll have to wait next month and hope that the three pieces begin to connect.

Sculpt:
Battle Armor Skeletor and Moss Man are all new sculpted figures. Just like Battle Armor He-Man, Skeletor’s armor is sculpted on and he does not have interchangeable chest plates liked the 6″ Classics figure. Moss Man is flocked with his ears and face left un-flocked.
The sculpt on both of these are disproportionate as the feet and legs and thin, while the chest and arms are bulky. The colors chosen match the likeness of each character well.

Swivel heads, swivel arms, swivel waist.

Battle Armor Skeletor – Havok staff and sword
Moss Man – mace and shield
Also includes a piece of Castle Grayskull
Overall:
While these might not be for all fans, parents can introduce He-Man to their kids with these new minis as a cheaper alternative to the adult-aimed 6″ line Masters Of The Universe Classics. These are both nice looking figures.
