Madame Razz and Broom make their action figure debut in Mattel’s Masters of the Universe Classics line. Madame Razz is a leader of the Great Rebellion and was one of the key characters that appeared in the classic She-Ra Princess of Power cartoon of the 1980’s.
August 2014 had two Princess Of Power characters with Flutterina, and Madame Razz. For New Adventures fans, NA Skeletor along with the robotic Faker head was released making this month a POP and NA release. All three figures look great and we are pleased to see all of these characters made in Classics style.
Availability: August 2014
Sculpt & Paint:
Madame Razz and Broom feature all-new sculpts and there’s no denying they look the part. Her hat is sculpted on her head and her eyes peek out through it. She also has her flower, hair sticking out on back, and a green patch at back. Her facial expression is closed mouth, but wide lips and her hair is textured and painted off white to grey. The rest of the sculpt is also detailed with her red witch coat, purple pants, and black pointed boots. Her coat is also tightened by the black belt with the gold clip and is buttoned at the top. On her pants she also has a green patch.
The broom sidekick only has two hinged-swivel arms, a long thin sculpt, a detailed facial sculpt at the top. The bottom of him is flat, which helps him stand and there are two peg holes at the bottom. It’s hard getting Razz to stand on him without a Mattycollector flying stand, but if you have one ready to go, you shouldn’t have a problem.
Ball-jointed head, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel wrists, swivel-hinged hips, swivel-hinged knees and ankles.
Madame Razz and Broom are excellent figures and both characters are long overdue for the Classics treatment into this line. We can’t wait to see what Mattel has in store for 2015!
Real Name: Regina Razz
Madame Razz is a Twigget witch who lives with her people in the Whispering Woods on Etheria. After the Battle of Brightmoon, she welcomed the surviving royal family and their supporters into the shelter of her magical forest. Helping to form the Great Rebellion, Madame Razz and her servant Broom went on to become core members of the Rebellion’s leadership, especially because she is only one of three on Etheria that knows Adora is actually She-Ra, Princess of Power. Often accused of being absentminded, Razz has a tendency to mispronounce her spells, sometimes leading to comical results. Despite some flaws in her magic wielding abilities, Madame Razz is a kind soul who only wants to see Etheria free from the Horde’s evil tyranny.
