Hasbro’s G.I. Joe Kre-O A8604 Terror Drome set is the largest set offered so far in the Kre-O line with 855 pieces. This is also the first time since 1986 that Hasbro offered the Terror Drome to toy shelves. With larger playsets in the 3 3/4″ scale having too big a price tag, and the fact that large playsets don’t sell, according to Hasbro, the Kre-O line is the only option for Hasbro to offer these in a smaller scale and still be able to sell them at a much more reasonable price.
The Terror Drome measures approximately 8″ from the top of the cannon to the bottom, and 12″ diameter at the top, with the base being an inch or so smaller. The set includes Serpentor’s Air Chariot, the Sky Hawk, Serpentor, Xamot, Cobra Scar Trooper, Clayton “Hawk” Abernathy, Gung Ho and Blaine “Mainframe” Parker Kreon figures.
The downside to the Kre-O right now is that Hasbro will no longer be coding the blind bags so you know what you’re buying, and instead these will now be blind purchases starting with wave 4 and 5 that’s currently being found at Toys “R” Us.

The Terror Drome features a working elevator to fit the Cobra Firebat Vehicle just like the 1986 vintage vehicle, or Serpentor’s Air Chariot inside where you can raise or lower it by pulling the level at the bottom of the base. The blue panels can also open or close at your discretion. The top of the Terror Drome also features 4 computer stations, two rotating cannons, weapons storage, and also have room to display figures around it.
At the bottom, there is a lot more including a throne for Serpentor, a prison with a key included, two cannons, a computer station with Cobra commander ordering his troops to “Go Get Those Joes!,” and a gas pump for the Cobra Ferret ATV that can fit inside.
Overall:
The Terror Drome is one of our favorite G.I. Joe playsets of all time and we were very excited to see it was announced at this years New York ToyFair. This is definitely a fun playset to own!
