In the year 1999 and 2000, Warner Brothers introduced DC characters Batman Beyond and Static Shock with their own animated series. These characters became instant fan favorites and each have appeared in crossover events on television and comic books, as well as having toys made of each from Mattel. While Batman Beyond has had several figures made in different Mattel lines, Static Shock has only been offered in the Justice League Unlimited line and that was offered in a Mattycollector exclusive 3-pack.
If you are following the current New 52 comics, you would know that Batman Beyond is in the 11 issue miniseries The New 52: Futures End, and Static Shock is a member of the Teen Titans.
Batman Beyond (aka Terry Mcginnis) and Static Shock (aka Virgil Hawkins) each deserve their own 6″ New 52 figures which have not been offered yet. This week for Wishlist Wednesday, we are asking DC Collectibles to consider making figures based on New 52 Batman Beyond and Static Shock. If they can do this, please include electricity bolt effects to Static Shock’s hands.
