At this years New York Comic-Con convention located at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City, Funko and Toy Tokyo teamed up and offered some exclusive toys. One of their exclusives was the Ghostbusters Slimed Egon Ecto-1 Pop! Vinyl Figure. All of the exclusives were sold at the Toy Tokyo booth, which also had one of the longest lines at the show.
The Ecto-1 exclusive was priced at around $36.00 and sold in limited quantities each day of the show. Those of you that could not obtain this at the show, or were unable to attend, will have to purchase it off of Ebay or another retailer mentioned below.
Right now, Toy Tokyo is offering some of the other NYCC and SDCC exclusives for sale at ToyTokyoExclusive.com. The Slimed Egon and Ecto-1 is sold out.

Packaging:
The Slimed Egon and Ecto-1 Pop! Vinyl Figure exclusive is packaged in a window box with the Toy Tokyo and New York Comic-Con sticker on the plastic. The box design is nicely detailed with a picture of the contents in the front, sides, and the top, as well as a white border, with a green banner along the top with the Ghostbusters text and logo, and a black banner at the bottom. The left side of the packaging has the green border around the plastic window and the right side has a white border.
The top of the packaging also has a window showing a birds eye view with a grey and white border around it, as well as the Pop! logo and an image of the slimed Ecto-1 and Egon figure.
Sculpt & Paint:
Egon is a repaint from the previous Pop! figures released in the Ghostbusters line, and is also based on the same deco pattern as the Marshmallow Mess Egon Spengler Pop! Vinyl Figure that we reviewed here, which was a San Diego Comic-Con 2014 exclusive from Funko.
The Slimed Ecto-1 exclusive is a repaint of the retail version currently released with Winston Zeddemore. This Pop! Ride has foot pegs for Egon to stay securely connected inside the vehicle, and Egon’s feet were retooled with holes. Ecto-1 has non-rotating tires and features a nice paint deco with the white, red, and silver, and includes green paint to represent the slime. The vehicle is more or less accurate to the movie as it’s missing a lot of the electronic gadgets on the roof, but they most likely wouldn’t have fit as half the hood was removed to place Egon inside. On this sample, there are some paint deco discrepancies like silver paint on one of the headlights, and various scratches and damage to the window.
Overall:
The Slimed Egon and Ecto-1 are excellent and we are very pleased with how well it came out. We do wish that Funko would offer their exclusives online like some other companies do, so more people have an opportunity to purchase it, even fans that attended the convention but couldn’t get it because of a fast sellout while waiting online.
