Atomic Green Lantern is part of DC Collectibles new line of 1:9 scale statues based on the MOBA game Infinite Crisis. This line will also include Pajama Party Harley Quinn, Mecha Wonder Woman, Atomic Poison Ivy, and Renaissance Batman. The figures in this line have a couple of points of articulation, but are mostly meant as display pieces and these are a continuation of the already released Atomic Wonder Woman and Arcane Green Lantern statue line.
About Atomic Green Lantern: Barely surviving the nuclear firestorm, Hal Jordan was nearly killed while trying save others. While holding aloft tons of rubble that had pinned survivors, his ring’s construct suddenly shattered and he was crushed by the falling debris. Hal awoke days later in an emergency clinic to a shocking discovery: his right arm had been too badly crushed, and had been amputated before it could become gangrenous. In addition, his now powerless ring was crushed into his chest and could not be removed without risk to his heart. This left Hal a broken man.
Hope returned when a mysterious figure visited Hal in the clinic. he claimed that he had discovered a radioactive isotope born of the nuclear war. It held the power to repair and repower Hal’s ring, but not without consequences. Hal agreed without a second thought. With the isotope in place, his ring’s powers have returned, although his constructs lack the definition they once had. Atomic Green Lantern only hopes now that he can help his world rebuild before the radiation kills him.

Packaging:
Atomic Green Lantern is in the window box packaging with the name Green Lantern on the side and a white and green border around the plastic and Infinite Crisis at the bottom. The plastic continues half way around the left side of the packaging with the white border, and the right side has artwork of Atomic Green Lantern with the Infinite Crisis logo and the name Atomic Green Lantern.
The back of the packaging has the same style artwork and specifies that this figure was sculpted by Derek Miller. At the bottom are the Infinite Crisis logo and pictures of the two figures in the first wave – Atomic Green Lantern and Pajama Party Harley Quinn.
Sculpt & Paint:
Atomic Green Lantern is a statue scaled at 1:9 and has a fantastic sculpt. The clear transparent green mechanical construct arm is extremely detailed and is the primary focus of the figure. His articulation is limited with hinged-swivel shoulders, hinged-swivel elbows, swivel wrists, a swivel head and waist. He measures 7-1/4″ tall and includes a green transparent base. Atomic Green Lantern is sculpted in a brown pilot jacket with pilot wings and badges sculpted to the jacket. Since his Green Lantern ring is crushed inside his chest, his body has green vain-like lines appearing on his chest, head, right knee, and left hand. The center of his chest has a Lantern shaped with the green veins around it.
His pilot jacket is made of hard plastic and his blue pants have two belts – one tightened around his waist, the other loose and below the waist. His base has two peg holes and is the same design as the one that came with Pajama Party Harley Quinn.
Articulation:
Hinged-swivel shoulders, hinged-swivel elbows, swivel wrists, and a ball-jointed head.
Accessories:
Figure base.
Overall:
Atomic Green Lantern is a beautifully sculpted figure with a great design and overall detail. The mechanical construct arm has as much detail as something you would expect to see from Sideshow Collectibles and we really like how the figure looks.
We do wish that he wouldn’t lean forward so much and would have liked to see articulation in his stomach such as ab crunch as well as hip and knee articulation to get him to stand straight up.
Highly Recommended.
Special thanks to DC Collectibles for sending Atomic Green Lantern along to us to review.
