As a special Ghostbusters promotional item for New York Comic-Con 2014, Diamond Select Toys handed out a new ghost Minimates action figure to those that stopped by their booth. The promotional ghost had a limited number handed out each day. In the image above and below, we are showing the promotional ghost being captured by the Ghostbusters ‘I Love This Town’ Minimates released back in March 2014.
Diamond Select Toys has some big plans for Ghostbusters next year including Ghostbusters Select 7″ figures, more Minimates, and other surprises waiting for fans that they will likely start to debut at New York ToyFair in February 2014, which ToyHypeUSA will be covering straight from the showroom floor. It’s going to be another big year for Ghostbusters fans as many more products are being released from a variety of companies like Real Ghostbusters from Mattel (no further updates on that are available just yet and they will likely show the figures at New York ToyFair).
Just to remind parents, this is not a LEGO minifigure, this is a Minimates figure from Diamond Select Toys and these two lines are differently scaled and are not meant to work together. We get emails once in a while from parents about our Ghostbusters ‘I Love This Town’ Minimates review asking if those will work with the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 from LEGO, which they will not fit inside as Minimates are too tall.

The Ghostbusters Minimate giveaway uses a standard Minimate sculpt with transparent green plastic and a Ghostbusters symbol painted on his chest. The symbol sharply painted with no bleeding.

Overall:
The transparent green plastic uses on this figure is the perfect Minimates ghost to add to you growing Ghostbusters collection. He was a great giveaway and we hope to see more just like it next year.
