DC Collectibles first wave of Batman: The Animated Series action figures includes Batman, Catwoman, Mr. Freeze, and Two-Face. Batman, Mr. Freeze, and Two-Face falls under The New Batman Adventures. These figures already made a strong impression on fans since they were announced earlier this year and there is still a lot of love for Bruce Timm’s Batman: The Animated Series from the 1990’s.
There are numerous reports coming in that Catwoman and Batman have breakage issues on Catwoman’s elbows and Batman’s wrists and ankles. There are even reports of loose and wobbly joints on Batman’s ankles if they aren’t already broken. We reported this on Friday, November 28th (Black Friday) and sent the information to DC Collectibles in hopes they will rectify the situation and improve quality control going forward. Our inspection of Mr. Freeze reveals that he too might have breakage issues on his wrists and ankles, so be sure to be extra careful with him.

Sculpt & Paint:
Mr. Freeze features an all-new sculpt that is sculpted by Gentle Giant Studios and is based on the episode “Cold Comfort.” He comes with a removable head and neck piece that can be used to connect the four spider legs as seen in the series. While the spider legs have no articulation other than the ball jointed connect ports, the body is articulated but the joints are a bit stiff and fragile.
He is painted in his black and blue body, with a blue neck piece, white head, black freeze gun, and grey spider legs.
Articulation:
Ball-Jointed head, ball-jointed shoulders, ball-jointed hinge elbows, swivel wrists, ball-jointed stomach, hinged-swivel hips, hinged knees, swivel boots, hinged ankles. The spider legs are ball-jointed to the neckpiece.
Accessories:
Clear removable dome, 4x spider legs, Freeze gun, 3 sets of interchangeable hands (fisted/open/chop), figure stand and base.
Overall:
Mr. Freeze is a great figure and we are looking forward to more figures from this line. The Bruce Timm style remains strong and we are eager to more reveals from DC Collectibles.
