McFarlane Toys has been going an incredible job on their realistic style The Walking Dead TV Series action figures and series 6 in no exception. The series includes Rick Grimes, The Governor, Hershel Greene, Abraham Ford, Bungee Walker, and Carol Peletier. There are also variants of The Governor with long coat and Hershel with his zombified (walker) head available at Walgreens and other retailers. We have yet to find these figures, so they are not available to us at the time of this review, which is most unfortunate as we wanted to show you everything at once.

Rick Grimes is sculpted in his tan shirt and black pants and includes a pistol, machete, extra right hand, silencer, and a chain with bungee hooks. While the figure has a great sculpt, there are some discrepancies such as the paint on the neck is lighter than the face and arms. His tan shirt has a light brown wash over it, which helps bring out the details in the shirt. Rick also has a holster for his pistol attached to his belt.
The Governor is sculpted in a long coat with two interchangeable heads (eye patch and bandage), and is also difficult to stand as the ball-jointed hips are difficult to move. He also includes a rifle that is difficult to store in his hand.
Bungee Walker is probably the most interesting figure in the set. He includes his guts hanging out of his chest and you can hang in intestines from a string, making him the most disgusting and incredible figure offered in the wave. The detailed paint apps to his guts are incredible and realistic, and because of this his articulation suffers a bit. He only has a ball-jointed head, swivel arms, ball-jointed hips, and hinged knees. He also is missing his right eye and it’s painted black, with the left one painted in red around it and the eye ball looks pink eyed.
Hershel Greene is sculpted with a with an interchangeable prosthetic right foot and a lower leg with the pants folded up as his foot had to be amputated. He is wearing his farmers white shirt with lines and suspenders. On his belt there is a holster for his pistol, and he also includes 2x crunches. The crunches make it hard for him to stand with the missing foot part, but if you play around with it, eventually you’ll be able to display him standing up as we did in the gallery below.
Carol Peletier is the most sought after figure of the line as Daryl Dixon fans have to have her to accompany him. Carol is sculpted in her brown jacket, pink shirt, and has a holder for her knife on her belt, with a smaller knife sculpted to her body. Also included with her is a gas tank and a pistol. Her head sculpt is a little disappointing, as you can see in our gallery. We are not sure however if other figures look like this, as the prototype looked much more like Carol. This one is close, but it’s missing some facial features.
Abraham Ford, the Texas native and Egene’s bodyguard is sculpted with a green tank top, and green and tan camouflage pants with a loose black belt and holsters for his pistol and knife attached to it. The green shirt has some brown wash painted over it. Included is a pistol, knife, and a rifle.
Overall:
McFarlane Toys have done an incredible job once again with this wave and we hope to see some new reveals at February’s New York ToyFair 2015. While there are some minor complaints that we mentioned above, these figures are worth picking up.
