Four Horsemen Gothitropolis Ravens Atheneus & All-In Exclusive Owl Figure Review

Finishing our coverage and reviews of the Gothitropolis Ravens figures are Atheneus, the owl, and the All-In exclusive owl mini figure. Our original shipment of Atheneus came with a broken elbow hinge joint, and we only just now received a replacement from the Four Horsemen.

Sculpt & Paint:

Atheneus, the owl, has a head sculpt that is based on the likeness of an owl and features a black beak, black, brown, and white textured hair, and yellow eyes. His body is sculpted with sculpted texture representing feathers on his body, and his metallic orange and blue armor has lots of great detail and is shared with all other characters. Around his belt are a variety of non-removable accessories including a horn in the back. He comes with 2 sets of interchangeable feet. Available as an add-on are his light dark brown wings that are connected through ports on his back by removing the smaller wings. The wings are ball-jointed/hinged and have one swivel joint at the top, and are sculpted with detailed texture. He stands at just below 7″ tall from the top of his head to the toes.

The All-In exclusive owl figure was only available to those that bought the all-in package during the Kickstarter Campaign. This mini-owl stands at 1-1/2″ tall and is sculpted with texture to represent the features. The feet swivel, and can be placed on any of The Ravens arms as shown below in the gallery.

Ball-jointed head, ball-jointed chest, ball-jointed shoulders, hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball-jointed hips, hinged knees, hinged calves, ball jointed ankles.

All-In Exclusive Owl – swivel feet.

Accessories:

Atheneus – 3x Feet (open, clawed, and closed feet), spear.

All-In Exclusive Owl – None.

Overall:

Athenaeus and the All-In owl are excellent figures and The Four Horsemen have delivered as promised on the first wave of Ravens figure. At New York ToyFair 2015, they announced a second wave of Ravens figures, that feature all-new heads, and some repaints.
