Hasbro Marvel Legends Avengers Infinite Series Scarlet Witch Review

Hasbro Marvel Legends Avengers Infinite Series Scarlet Witch Review

Hasbro Marvel Legends Avengers Infinite Series Scarlet Witch 02

Hasbro’s 2015 Marvel Legends line-up starts off with their Avengers Infinite Series and includes Thor, Hawkeye, Iron Fist, Machine Man, Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel, The Sentry, and Odin as the build-a-figure.

Scarlet Witch gets an update in Marvel Legends with this new figure. Back in the Toybiz Marvel Legends days, the Scarlet Witch had a very disappointing figure and everything about the figure was a mess – from sculpt, articulation, and deco. Now, for the first time in Marvel Legends history, fans can own a comic accurate figure that finally does the character justice.

Hasbro did the right thing including her to the Avengers Marvel Legends wave, since the figure needed an update, and since she is such an important character in the Marvel Universe.

The problem is, she is packed only one per case just like Captain Marvel. Scarlet Witch is also the most popular character of this wave to collectors, so finding one at retail has proven to be a needle in a haystack kind of case. Which is why we always suggest to readers to go with case assortments online.

Availability: February 2015

Sculpt & Paint:

Scarlet Witch features a fantastic sculpt that captures the characters comic book likeness extremely well, and includes a newly tooled head, cape, hands, hex bolts that snap to her wrists to recreate her mutant hex magic powers.

Aside from being one of the best Marvel Legends releases in recent years, we do have to point out that her high heels create some problems with making her fall over in certain poses, and even though Hasbro did this for comic book accuracy, they should have also included a figure stand. She already has the peg holes drilled on the bottom of her feet, so a figure stand (or an existing one from Toybiz) is required here for most poses.

Her head sculpt has wavy hair, green eyes, and mask on her forehead. The body is painted in her red and pink outfit, with no bleeding or mishaps as some previous Marvel Legends figures.

Articulation:

Standard for Marvel Legends.

Accessories:

Head, staff, and cape for Odin, 2 hex bolts that recreates her mutant hex magic powers.

Overall:

Since New York ToyFair 2015, we have had some strong feeling that 2015 is going to be one of the best years for the line. Scarlet Witch is by all means no exception to that and you won’t be sorry if you purchase her.

Highly Recommended.
