The G.I. Joe Collectors’ Club shipped out the fourth wave of The Figure Subscription Service 3.0 consisting of Hit & Run and Alpine.
Back when they originally revealed Hit & Run, the club shown an image of him with an unpainted face, which led to an outcry from fans asking that he had the painted face instead. Since the club is pretty much all about pleasing fans (except in a few instances such as JoeCon exclusives not being obtainable for everyone that attends the show), they listened to fans and promised to paint his face. Shown below is the original image of the unpainted face and arms.
Availability: March 2015
Sculpt & Paint:
Hit & Run is based on the 1988 figure, and comes with a parachute pack as the variation Target exclusive figure had. He is also based on the unreleased Hasbro concept figure. The parachute is removable, but it’s very hard to actually remove it since there is only one plug on the side, and it’s also wrapped around the legs. To save some time, we decided not to remove it in the photo shoot, but it can be done.
The helmet has a pair of goggles sculpted on, which cannot be removed. The vest and pants includes a sheath for a handgun, and the lower part of the right leg a sheath for a knife, which are all removable.
Hit & Run is repainted in green and black stripe uniform, with a painted green and black stripe face and arms. His hair is also painted black, as opposed to having sculpted hair.
Articulation:
Standard for modern G.I. Joe figures.
Accessories:
Figure Stand, Removable Helmet and Goggles, Assault Rifle, Pistols, Knife, Climbing Piton, Backpack with Grappling Hooks.
Overall:
Hit & Run is an excellent figures and a great update to the 1988 vintage toy. We especially appreciate that the club listed to fans and painted the face and arms.
Highly Recommended.
