When Marvel and Funko first announced the Marvel Collector Corps subscription boxes, this had immediately peaked the interest of fans as it was the first of its kind for Marvel to do something like this. The first of the reveals was the exclusive Hulkbuster Pop! Vinyl Figure, which also turned out to be a bobble-head that is something that was not originally announced.
The Marvel Collector Corps subscription will consist of 6 boxes, shipped out every other month, and if you purchase all 6 for $25, which they state has $50 worth of products inside, they will also send you an exclusive collectible 8” Founders Statue. The statue has not been officially revealed and it doesn’t look like fans will know what it looks like until it ships at the end of the first year.
Availability: April 2015
Sculpt & Paint:
The Hulkbuster Pop! Vinyl Bobble-Head stands at about 6-1/4″ tall and weighs roughly 1.14 pounds. Making this a unique paperweight for your office. The sculpt has lots of great detail with a big bulky armor featuring port holes, sculpted lines, wiring, and some great movie likeness.
Hulkbuster is painted in a metallic red, gold, and silver deco with white round eyes.
Overall:
The Hulkbuster Pop! Vinyl Bobble-Head is a nice collectible and depending on if you’re a fan of Funko Pop!’s, will look nice with your already growing collection.
One more thing you might want to keep in mind is that this is the only subscription box that only allows one company the exclusive contract (at least at this time). When you think of a Marvel Subscription box, you almost think of products from several companies including Hasbro and NECA Toys, which also have the Marvel license, among many other companies. So why does Funko get the exclusive license for something like this, when there are other companies that would also make some great products for this subscription box that fans will just eat up?
Somewhat Recommended.
