Wishlist Wednesday – Masters Of The Universe Classics 200X Snake Teela & Snake Mekaneck 2-Pack

Wishlist Wednesday - Masters Of The Universe Classics 200X Snake Teela and Snake Mekaneck 2-Pack 01

Now that Masters of the Universe Classics will see the end to all vintage characters released by the end of the year, the Snake Men are the first of the factions to have their last character (Sssqueeze) released in June. It’s truly the end of an era. For the most part, Mattel has done an excellent job on all of the Snake Men and they even gave fans a 200X King Hsss and He-Man released as a 2-pack, something that we never thought were possible. But should that be the last Snake Men 2-Pack ever released?

Our answer is no. By now most of you will know that the 2009 Classics Teela has been going for some crazy prices on ebay and the secondary market over the years and we always thought that Mattel needed to refresh that character, as well as that mold in some way. While they did release Battle Ground Teela, it still wasn’t the same as the 2009 release and the many fans looking to finish the Masters of the Universe with the Classics Teela mold, are out of luck as Mattel will no longer look at reissues as an option.

In the 200X toy line, Mattel did release a Toyfare Magazine exclusive Snake Teela action figure, which at the time was very popular. Since the Classics Teela release, we’ve been waiting for Mattel to make a Snake Teela action figure and now that core vintage line is ending, with the possibility of a continuation in 2016 should the subscription go through this Summer (which could very well happen), a Snake Teela action figure could very well be on the cards. But what about Mekaneck? According to some articles that we read what the fan base wants to see made, a Snake Mekaneck figure is not on everyones wishlist for one reason or another. However, the character was in the 200X animated series, and also hinted in the bio’s about possibly surviving “The Spell of Separation” cast by Orko. Since Mekaneck survived, he would have been one of the last Snake Men on Eternia, along with the Palace Guards that were also turned by Man-At-Arms and King Hsss. If Mattel can actually make a Snake Man-At-Arms, and Snake Palace Guards (reptilian head), then a Snake Mekaneck figure should also be on the cards.

This week, we are asking Mattel to make a new Snake Men 2-Pack consisting of Snake Teela in her 2009 Classics mold with a new head, accessories, and repainted, as well as a Snake Mekaneck figure for a possible 2016 release.
