Thank you to NECA Toys for sending along Devil May Cry Ultimate 7″ Dante action figure for review.
Availability: May 2015
Packaging:
The packaging is a standard window box as seen with other 7″ Ultimate figures, and includes an opening flap that recreates the look of the original video game. On the back of the packing is shows images of the figure along with information about the game.
Sculpt & Paint:
Ultimate Dante has an extremely detailed and definitive sculpt to resemble his video game appearance. He is sculpted with a wind-shaped trench coat that is leaning left, which also forces to figure to feel heavy on that side. His head sculpt has long white hair with grey highlights, and red around his eyes indicating his demon half. His red outfit has a black wash over it, and features silver belt buckles and black straps on his chest, boots, and belt. The tech coat also has a soft leather feeling and has sowing lines sculpted on the edges and inward. His hands are ball-jointed and interchangeable. The wrists are prone to falling off easily because the ball joint is very tiny.
Articulation:
Ball jointed head, ball-hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, ball jointed wrists, swivel waist, ball-jointed hips, double-hinged knees, rocker ankles.
Accessories:
Ebony and Ivory pistols with removable muzzle bursts, Dante’s sword Alastor, shotgun, and interchangeable hands.
Overall:
Ultimate Dante is an excellent figure with one of the best sculpts and likenesses to a character that we’ve seen all year. The only disappointing aspect about the figure will be his wrists as they tend to fall off too easily, but can also be snapped right back on.
Highly Recommended.
