Wishlist Wednesday - Masters Of The Universe Classics Dree Elle

Mattel’s 2015 Masters of the Universe Classics line-up is half way through this month and July marks the launch of the 2016 subscription that will likely start during San Diego Comic-Con July 8th-12th. What is interesting is that 2015 will mark the completion of all vintage figures along with some additional surprises, with 2016 focusing on everything else including A-list requested characters.

Since Classics almost did not reach 100% a few years ago, Mattel had to rework the list and offer only vintage characters released in the 80’s toy line, and push aside everything else including Concept, Mini-Comic, 200X, Filmation, New Adventures, etc.

With each year introducing a new higher price point usually of $1 or more, it makes perfect sense that Mattel had to go this route and we are just thankful that they continued the line at all. The 2016 subscription will likely follow most of the original road map of characters that was planned until 2017 before Mattel had to change direction, including Vultak, Dree Elle, Uncle Montork, Granita (the female rock warrior), Kittrina, Baddrah (purple half of Two-Bad), Tuvar (blue half of Two-Bad), and many others including a Snake Teela figure.

One things for sure, Classics will need all the subscriptions it can get this July and we are taking this time to remind readers that even if you don’t want a couple of the figures shown, odds are that there are other unannounced figures planned for 2016 and we expect Mattel to have some surprises planned as well.

While our wishlist for Classics is extensive, we are asking Mattel to make a Dree-Elle and Uncle Montork figures either as a 2 pack, convention exclusive, traveling exclusive, or as an added bonus figure similar to Prince Adam/Orko was offered.
