Mezco’s Mortal Kombat X Glow-in-the-Dark Raiden Figure was available to purchase at the Entertainment Earth booth at San Diego Comic-Con as well as Toys “R” Us after the show. Now that series 1 has shipped as well as both Sub Zero and Raiden convention exclusives are in the hands of the fans, it’s looking like Mezco has an incredible line coming you way or highly detailed and articulated Mortal Kombat X figures, compared to other lines having less articulation.
Our image gallery below doesn’t show the figure is actually more lime green than white, as his feature allows him to glow-in-the-dark.
Availability: San Diego Comic-Con 2015 – July 8th-12th; Toys “R” Us
Sculpt & Paint:
Raiden is based on the Mortal Kombat X game and has the glow-in-the-dark feature including his removable hat, and interchangeable hands. The figure is a repaint from the standard series 1 figure and features game likeness by digitally sculpting the figure using the same data files as the game designers.
He includes a lot of detailed sculpting with patterns on his garments, which you cannot all see given that he’s all in one color, but the series 1 figure shows the designs with the paint apps.
The figure also features interchangeable hands, which one set of the open hands can hold the electric bolt by connecting the ball on the peg hole in the hand.
Articulation:
Ball jointed head, ball-hinged shoulders, ball-hinged elbows, hinged swivel wrists, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, ball-hinged knees, ball jointed ankles.
Accessories:
3x interchangeable hands, removable hat
Overall:
Glow-in-the-Dark Raiden is an excellent figure with game accuracy sculpted and features.
Highly Recommended.
