Availability: August 2015
Wonder Woman is hand-sculpted in cold-cast porcelain and measures roughly 8.125 inches in height. The statue features a thin and tall sculpt standing on a base with the Wonder Woman logo sculpted on top. Wonder Woman is based on the design of the fan-favorite DC Nation animated short that used to air on Saturday mornings during Teen Titans Go!, Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series. Wonder Woman stands on a base with two peg holes allowing the feet to slide into place and hold the statue up. The Wonder Woman logo is carved into the base.
Her head sculpt features long black eyelashes, earrings, detailed facial features as seen in the animated shorts, and includes long black hair going down her back. Her arms are sculpted with the left arm resting on her side and the right arm making a fist and hanging downward. There is no lasso, or another accessory shown on her, which is not always common for the character.
She is painted in a red top with the Wonder Woman gold stripe across it, and blue shorts with white stars on the sides. Her stockings go move than half way up her legs and her boots cut off at almost the top of her calves.
This statue is an artist proof statue and not part of the original 5200 piece run. As shown above, DC Collectibles numbers the states on the bottom of the base and the AP stands for “Artist Proof.”
Overall:
The animated shorts on DC Nation were really good and we this statue is an excellent representation of Wonder Woman from it.
Recommended.
