DC Collectibles Batman The Animated Series - Harley Quinn 20

DC Collectibles shipped out Harley Quinn this week from their Batman: The Animated Series toyline based on the 1990’s Bruce Timm series. She is now available at your local comic shop and online retailer, and make sure you are supporting this line as we want DC Collectibles to expand to Superman: The Animated Series, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, and Batman Beyond. This style of action figures lives on only if people are buying.

Batman is based on the episode “The Man Who Killed Batman,” which had originally aired on February 1, 1993 and includes episode specific accessories. Sidney Debris, a small-time mobster, earns the hatred of all of Batman’s enemies when he claims to have accidentally killed Batman during a brawl. Sidney goes to Rupert Thorne, a crime boss for help but it turns out that Thorne is angry with him too.

Availability: November 2015

Sculpt:

Harley Quinn features a brand new sculpt and measures 5 1/4″ tall, which to her height in the series and compared to other figures in the line, is pretty much height accurate. She depicts her Bruce Timm animated style nicely with this release, and appears to be one of the best selling figures of the line this year. The popularity of this Harley Quinn figure is impressive, as she features a great sculpt and an even better paint apps.

Harley is painted in her red and black clown outfit with reversed red and black deco on either side. The down side here is that there is some bleeding at the lines on the top of the head, and the chest. The diamond painted on the arms and legs in the oppose color, do not have any bleeding and really brings out some nice touch. Since the outfit is a court jester look, she includes that style of a hat, and neck piece, with an off white painted face (light blue). That deco probably have been painted white?

Articulation:

ball-jointed head, ball-hinged shoulders, hinged-swivel elbows, swivel-hinged and removable wrists, hinged-swivel hips, hinged knees, and swivel rocker ankles.

Accessories:

Six of interchangeable hands, rubber fish, pistol with a cork, figure base and stand.

Overall:

Harley Quinn is an excellent figure with a great sculpt and likeness to the source material.

Highly Recommended.
