Just released from DC Collectibles are Bane, Scarecrow, Mad Hatter, and Nightwing from The New Batman Adventures toyline based on the 1990’s Bruce Timm series. Make sure you are supporting this line as we want DC Collectibles to expand to Superman: The Animated Series, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, and Batman Beyond. This style of action figures lives on only if people are buying.
Nightwing is based on the episode “You Scratch My Back,” which had originally aired on November 15, 1997. Much to the chagrin of Batman and Batgirl, Nightwing teams with Catwoman to combat a gang of South American gunrunners.
Nightwing is #18 of the series.
Availability: November 2015
Sculpt & Paint:
Nightwing features a brand new sculpt and measures 5-3/4″ tall. He is sculpted in his show accurate appearance with a black crime fighting outfit, a blue eagle shaped logo on his chest that wraps around his shoulders and back, a black mask covering his eyes, but leaving his forehead, mouth, and chin exposed, white eyes, and long black hair.
The sculpt is pretty much straight forward, as the black is just casted on, and the real highlight about the outfit is the eagle on his chest as seen in the show.
Articulation:
ball-jointed head, ball-hinged shoulders, ball-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged and removable wrists, waist rotation, hinged-swivel hips, hinged knees, and swivel-hinged rocker ankles.
Accessories:
Four sets of interchangeable hands, batarang, binoculars, and a figure base and stand.
Overall:
Nightwing is an excellent figure, a great paint job, and a great sculpt and likeness to the source material. This would complete the core Batman family team of Batman, Batgirl, Robin, and Nightwing. As you can see, the four look great together.
Highly Recommended.
