NECA Toys latest Terminator 2 Ultimate figure offering is the highly anticipated release of the T-1000. He joins their previous releases of the Terminator 2 T-800, and Terminator 2 Sarah Connor figures, and features the likeness of Actor Robert Patrick. With the Terminator 2 collection growing, hopefully more figures will be unveiled at ToyFair next month including a John Connor figure scaled to the 7″ line.

Sculpt & Paint:
The T-1000 features the likeness of Actor Robert Patrick, and is based on the likeness as seen in the film. The figure features multiple parts to recreate several different scenes as seen in the 1991 film. This includes three alternate head sculpts, interchangeable forearms, interchangeable torsos, and interchangeable hands.
The T-1000 is sculpted in his blue button down police uniform as seen in the film, and includes a badge, walkie talky, name badge, holster for his pistol, and the clothing include sculpted texture and folds in the clothing. His belt is also nicely detailed and holds the non-removbale walkie talky and holster, as well as pockets and a belt buckle. The liquid metal pointy fingers hands feature a long rubbery fingers that stretches out to and come as a pair. The left hand is longer than the right, and you can swap out any of the heads, with either torso, or hands to create a number of different poses using these parts.
The bullet hole torso is connected to the bullet hole head sculpt in the package, which the head can be swapped with any of the other two head sculpts. The bullet hole head has a hole that goes all the way through to the back, and has wrinkles around the hole on his head that shows the impact that the impact made. Inside his head, are the shiny liquid metal in his head and body. The interchangeable forearms are also shown above, and these are the liquid metal hooks as seen in the film. These are highly detailed and accurate to the film.
The spliced open head sculpt is also extremely well detailed, with the same interior details as the bullet hole head. This head was glued together as two pieces, with the left side of the face attached to the rest of the body. The only issue we had with the head is that getting the peg hole on the bottom of the neck all the way through with the peg on the torso was difficult. As there is no good way to grab the head without using excessive force. So this head slightly sits above the shoulders and is prone to falling off easily.
The details however are amazing, and you can swap out any of the hands sculpts, or torso’s with this head or the other two.
Articulation:
He features 30 points of articulation including a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, hinged-swivel elbows, ball jointed and removable wrists, swivel waist, ball hinged hips, hinged-swivel knees, and ball jointed ankles.
Accessories:
He includes 3 heads, 2 forearms, 5 hands, 1 battle-damaged torso, 1 regular police torso, and a pistol.
Overall:
The Ultimate T-1000 is an excellent figure and a great addition to NECA’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day line. The figure is well detailed and sculpted and features a great likeness to the actor and film scenes. This is by far the best T-1000 figure that NECA has made, and this figure is a welcome addition to their Terminator 2 line.
