The Hall of Justice is one of the most recognizable buildings in the DC Universe and is the home of the Justice League. In the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, there was a Hall of Justice playset in the DC Comics Super Friends line, and thanks to Fisher-Price, fans can own it again after over 30 years.
Thank you to Fisher-Price for providing their Imaginext Hall Of Justice for review.
Availability: Late 2015, Early 2016
The Hall of Justice features three firing projectiles, a jail, meeting room of Justice League members to plan their missions, and a light-up flame.
Similar to other Imaginext playsets from Fisher-Price, the power pad that Superman is standing on actives the light-up flame by turning it, which also moves the two doors on the lower right and left hand side that have a projectile launcher on either side, and the glass behind the flame. There is a third larger projectile the flips out and over the flame as the power pad ends it rotation. The two bottom projectiles can also be moved to the top of the Hall of Justice.
The flame blinks for about 5 seconds, then stay lit for about 15 seconds before turning itself off automatically. The flame is activated once again by turning the power pad to the left, which also closes the doors at the bottom, and the glass door behind the flame. The top projectile launcher has to be manually pushed in for the glass door to close.
On the top of the glass, there is a Justice League logo in silver, and the words “Hall of” and “Justice” on the top of the playset on the right and left hand side. DC fans will know that the wording inscribed on the building was also seen in the comics and animated series.
The back of the building features a jail for captured villains on the top, and a Justice League meeting room with a center computer console. The jail doors cannot move, and the figure has to be lifted over it to be placed in the jail. The meeting room has space to fit four or more Justice League members, but there are only four computer monitors around with a dome on the top. There is also a computer screen at the center of the base that’s made with a sticker.
The playset is on a blue base, which pays homage to the pond seen in front of the Hall of Justice. Included is a shield and 6 launching projectiles.
Overall:
The Imaginext Hall of Justice is an excellent playset and one that both old and new DC fans will love. This fits in great with any DC collection, no matter what scale and serves as a great addition on your shelf.
Highly Recommended.
