This wave includes: Spartan Warrior, Medusa, Gorgon Horde Coral Gorgon, Cursed Stone Spartan, and the Kickstarter Exclusive Bronze Spartan Talos. Along with these, Boss Fight also shipped out series 3 Black Racer Gorgon, and wave 1 Fire Orange and Shadow Grey blank bodies.

Sculpt & Paint:
The Cursed Stone Spartan stands 4″ tall and features a thin muscular sculpt that is highly detailed, and a great likeness. He is a repaint of The Spartan Warrior and is painted to represent what it would look like if Medusa starred at this warrior with her gazing power. From the bio, it explains what happens to a victim of Medusa’s power, as they become more god-like as well as immortal, but stuck in their bodies for all eternity until Medusa and the Gorgon sisters are slain. The new powers allow them to see through walls, hear from great distances, and give them sight for miles. He is painted to resemble a stone texture, with some layered grays and a darker grey overspray that gives it a more realistic look of the texture you might see in a real stone statue.
If you’re a fan of Greek Mythology, or even highly detailed 1:18 scale action figures, there is a lot to love in this line as far as the sculpting and paint deco. His chest armor is all one piece and is removable, leaving his bare chest, arms, and legs. There is a screw that is noticeable in his underware, but otherwise everything else looks great.
The armor itself is sculpted with a muscular tone, and the skirt is attached to the chest armor. The armor on his knees is removable, and they also do not block any of the knee or ankle articulation. The joints are nice and sturdy, and popping off the head to remove the armor is doesn’t require much effort.
Articulation:
The Cursed Stone includes a ball jointed neck, swivel-hinged shoulders, hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed hips, double-hinged knees, swivel ankles. His leg articulation could use some added points including a hip and thigh swivel, knee swivel, and the ankles require a rocker joint to help him stand while creating more unique poses. The figure stand helps, but the ankle rocker would have been a key point of articulation here.
Accessories:
The Cursed Stone includes removable armor, helmet, long sword, spear, interchangeable hands, figure stand, and a shield.
Overall:
The Cursed Stone Spartan is an excellent figure with some superb detail, deco, and accessories. The stone deco is simply amazing and looks like a 4″ scaled down statue.
Highly Recommended.
