Diamond Select Toys Aliens Series 1 Minimates are based on the 1986 Aliens feature film. These figures are the comic shop assortment 2 packs and the wave includes a great selection of characters and Aliens.
This set includes Private Drake & Battle Damaged Attacking Alien, Sgt. Apone & Warrior Alien, Cpl. Dietrich & Colonist Mary, Cpl. Hicks & Rescue Mission Ripley.

This wave is heavy on military characters, which is definitely needed to army build and these figures work great with DST’s upcoming Deluxe APC Vehicle.
Cpl. Dietrich includes an interchangeable hair piece and blaster rifle, and Colonist Mary has a Xenomorph bursting through her chest, and her facial expression shows her dying as this is happening.
Private Drake includes a blaster rifle that connects to his chest, and an interchangeable hat. The Battle Damaged Attacking Alien includes a great sculpt with Alien blood/acid damage on him. The Alien also has a tongue popping out.
Cpl. Hicks includes an interchangeable helmet and head piece with a bandage over his left eye, and includes a rifle and a shotgun that can be stored on a holster on his back. Rescue Mission Ripley includes two blasters and has a great Minimates likeness.
Sgt. Apone includes an interchangeable helmet, hat, and facehugger that fits over his head, and comes with a rifle. The Warrior Alien is a black repaint that’s been seen many times in this line.
Overall:
The Aliens Minimates Series 1 figures are excellent representations of their characters. The interchangeable parts and weapons are a nice touch. Some of the characters including Colonist Mary is a nice surprise with the chestbursting feature. Ripley is a must for each Aliens wave, and the figure sculpt is truly fantastic. The Military characters in this assortment are needed for the upcoming Deluxe APC vehicle due out in November, so stocking up now might be smart as this wave will likely become more popular when that vehicle hits.
