DC Collectibles have given us another opportunity to give you an advanced review of their upcoming DC Icons 6″ Atomica action figure, which will be available in June. The Crime Syndicate member Atomica is based on the her appearance in the “Forever Evil” storyline and includes two of The Atom miniature figures.
Atomica is part of the third wave, which also includes Superman, Aquaman, and Harley Quinn. She is #12 of the line.

Atomica stands at 5 1/2″ tall and is sculpted in her first appearance red and blue costume. The paint apps on her are especially well done, including the Atom symbol belt buckle. The sculpt is smooth and the joints are nice and sturdy. Her belt includes pounches and are painted in silver with some black wash.The head sculpt is very nicely done and includes the silver and red goggles, and her face is covered with a blue mask. Her hair is nicely done with waves of hair overlapping, which gives it texture. Atomica includes a pair of interchangeable hands, a pair of fisted hands and a pair of open hands. While there is no mini-figure version of her, DC Collectibles did offer some thing different, which we are calling two characters in one package.
The smaller Atom figure stands at 1 1/2″ tall and is more of a statue than a figure. He includes a clear plastic Atom display stand. His feet have pegs, which fit into the holes on the stand. The larger Atom figure stands at 3″ tall and includes a swivel head, arms, and legs. The paint applications are very well done on each of the figures, and the acrylic display stand is well sculpted and has an exceptional design.
Overall:
Atomica and The Atom are very nicely sculpted figures with a great likeness to the comics. We especially like the fact that you get two characters in this set, rather than just offering a mini-figure of Atomica (which did go with Johnny Quick from the 7″ Crime Syndicate line).
