Hasbro’s Robots In Disguise Bumblebee (deluxe) and Grimlock (Voyager) figures get the Platinum treatment in this Entertainment Earth exclusive 2 pack featuring a new metallic paint finish. These figures are part of Hasbro’s RID collection that are based on the Transformers Prime animated series.
Official Product Details:
Bumblebee is the new boss! He’s not the same as the old boss – with Optimus Prime otherwise occupied, our yellow friend leads a group of cadets and misfits on Earth to stop invading Decepticons from trashing the planet and hurting their human allies. This Bumblebee action figure goes through a 7-step change to a car and back again, standing 5-inches tall and ready to save the day. With enchanced paint job, you’ll marvel at his headlights, his cool blue wheel rims, and just oodles of toy detail like you’ve never seen before. There’s never been a better ‘Bee! He even includes a unique sword – check out the enhanced hilt, now decorated silver and redesigned with a new guard. Don’t miss this one – or his big green friend! Bumblebee sports 14 points of articulation.
Grimlock was a Decepticon, but he had a change of heart. Being disguised as a giant robotic dinosaur won’t help him blend in easily on Earth, but he’ll fit right in with your other awesome Autobots. His awesome 4 1/2-inch sword is almost as tall as other Autobots, and this towering terror stands over 7-inches tall in his robot form. Carefully redesigned with an awesome 10-step transformation, Grimlock features a chomping dinosaur jaw, over 15 points of articulation in robot mode, an awesome green shield, and a more complex transformation than any other Grimlock from Robots in Disguise on the market. With blue eyes, yellow highlights, and a candy-like finish you simply can’t get a better Grimlock – so grab this one for extra transformation fun!

The quality of these figures are given a bit of an upgrade compared to the retail releases with a new metallic paint finish, and Grimlock’s mold is based on the Takara-Tomy Battle Grimlock figure. This is the first time that this particular mold was used for a US release, and we’re very happy to see this figure make it to the states. The transformers of both figures is similar compared to the adult-aimed lines such as Combiner Wars and Titans Return, and Bumblebee has a 7 step transformation, and Grimlock a 10 step transformation. The paint on Bumblebee is pretty simplistic other than the metallic finish, as he features a yellow and black finish with grey on his waist and legs, a transparent blue windshield, and an Autobot logo on his chest. Bumblebee includes a sword with transparent blue plastic. Grimlock features a green and dark grey metallic finish with some silver metallic finish on his chest, knees, and tail. There is also some yellow deco on his head sculpt for both modes, as well as various parts of the mold. He includes two accessories including a sword and shield that features pegs that can be used to store these accessories on him in beast mode, and he can hold the sword in robot mode, and the shield plugs into his wrist. Both weapons are made of transparent yellow plastic and are painted in the same dark grey deco as the body.

Overall:
With the new metallic figure, these are excellent figures and a great way to collect this Grimlock mold even if you have already bought the Takara-Tomy’s RID20xx line. These figures are a vast improvement over the originals.
