This years San Diego Comic-Con was a big year for fans of Jakks Pacific’s Big Figs collectibles as there were three exclusives available to purchase at the show. The Jokers Wild Batman, Star Wars: The Force Awakens C-3PO were available to purchase at the Entertainment Earth booth (Joker’s Wild can be ordered now HERE, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens Captain Phasma Big Fig was available to purchase at the Jakks Pacific booth during the show. We will be reviewing all three this week.
According to Entertainment Earth representatives at the show, we were told there were a couple of people that had costumes of this figure that looked just like the figure itself. This is very impressive as he was revealed just over a month before the show, so those fans had to work fast to not only make the costume, but to apply the paint as well. We don’t have pictures, but if you google it, hopefully you will find something.
The Jokers Wild Batman has a limited production run of 3,000 pieces worldwide and is priced at $59.99.
Thank you to Jakks Pacific for sending their San Diego Comic-Con 2016 exclusive Batman v Superman: The Jokers Wild Batman 19″ Big Figs for review.
Availability: San Diego Comic-Con July 20th-24th, 2016 – Entertainment Earth Booth
The Joker’s Wild Batman stands at just under 19-1/2 inches tall and uses the same sculpt as the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Big Figs. The sculpt is nicely detailed with texture in the torso, back, arms, and legs, with some smooth areas in the belt, boots, forearms, neck, and head. The overall sculpt is repainted in white, and the key eye catching deco is The Joker’s graffiti painted on his head, arms, chest, legs, and cape. The head sculpt has X’s painted over his eyes, and the mouth has a red smile around it to indicate the Joker. His chest is made up of the letter J in green, laughing Ha Ha in purple that is also shown on his left arm and left leg, and the Joker on his right side and right leg. His right arm has a jester painted in black and the forearms are painted in green on the left and red on the right. The cape has a smile with red and black deco, with black deco showing the eyes, and drops of green deco indicating his hair color. There is some bleeding on the paint, but since this is meant as a spray paint, the deco is very nicely done and tells the story of what the Joker’s about.
His articulation includes a swivel head, swivel arms, swivel legs, and swivel wrists. There is also an issue when raising both of his arms up in a 90 degree angle, he falls forward due to the weight. This does not happen when only one arm is raised.
Overall:
With a nice looking sculpt, superb Joker spray paint, you have a great looking convention exclusive that definitely grabbed the attention of many fans. The deco on this figure is simply amazing and Jakks Pacific definitely pulled it off nicely.
Highly Recommeded
