Commissioner Gordon is based in the episode “I Am The Night.” which aired on November 9, 1992. Gordon is sculpted in is detective outfit, with a brown coat, yellow shirt, brown belt, black tie, tan pants, and brown shoes. His head sculpt features non-removable glasses, and he has white hair and a white mustache. The hair sculpt has a wave in front, as seen in the series. Gorgon has wide broad shoulders and a hefty looking tone. The long coat is made of soft plastic, and does not get in the way with the articulation in the legs. He features a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, ball hinged elbows, swivel and removable wrists, waist rotation, swivel hinged hips, hinged knees, and swivel ankles.
Gordon includes three sets of interchangeable hand sculpts, a handgun, a megaphone, and an acrylic figure stand with base.
If and when DC Collectibles decides to do Justice League Unlimited, they will already have some of the characters needed to complete the line, including The Creeper, Zatanna, and Etrigan as they also appeared in the Batman series in the 1990’s. As they are already doing a Superman and Lois Lane 2 pack, the possibility of Justice League and Justice League Unlimited continues to grow.
Zatanna is based on her appearance in the episode “Zatanna,” which had originally aired on February 2, 1993. She is sculpted in her magician outfit, with a short black vest, white and purple shirt, blue shorts, black top hat with purple trim, and a black bow tie. Her articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, hinged swivel elbows, swivel and removable wrists, hinged swivel hips, and hinged knees. She does not have articulation in her ankles.
Zatanna includes three sets of interchangeable hands, magic wand, poster, and an acrylic figure stand and base.
Ra’s Al Ghul is based on his appearance in the episode “The Demons Quest,” which had originally aired on May 4, 1993. He is sculpted with a long black cape that curves around the sides, which is also removable by popping off his head. The cape limits the articulation in his arms and legs as it is made of hard plastic. Ra’s Al Ghul also comes with a jackal mask as seen in the episode. The jackal mask has some sharp edges He is sculpted in a green shirt, green pants, black belt, and black boots. His head sculpt depicts the characters likeness very well, and they even have the grey hair on the sides done right. His articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, ball hinged elbows, swivel and removable forearms, waist rotation, swivel and hinged hips, hinged knees, and hinged ankles.
He includes three sets of interchangeable forearms, Jackal mask, cape, and an acrylic figure stand and base.
Overall:
Commissioner Gordon, Zatanna and Ra’s Al Ghul have great figure sculpts that depict the characters animated likeness exceptionally well. Fans of the Timm-verse series won’t want to miss out on these!
