NECA Toys Friday The 13th Part 3 Ultimate Jason Voorhees is based on the third installment of the horror franchise that was released in 1982. The film is most remembered for being the first time that Jason wore what would become his iconic hockey mask in future installments of the franchise.

The Ultimate version of NECA Toys Friday The 13th Part 3 Jason Voorhees figure is an updated version of their previous offerings with newly sculpted articulated legs. Previous offerings are known to come with unarticulated legs as well as a couple of the included accessories in this release. The Ultimate version of Jason is made up of several previously offered figures, with accessories that include two masks, two interchangeable head sculpts, pitchfork, wrench, knife, fire poker, harpoon gun, machete, and a axe. The head sculpts each have removable masks revealing Jason’s horrific face. The head sculpt and mask that has a crack on top with blood splatter can be used to place the axe through the crack as seen in the film. As Jason is a deadite, which was not revealed until many years after this film, an axe through the head is simply not enough to kill him. The axe stays in pretty good once you get it in, and the detail of the crack on the mask and head is very well done and detailed. The blood also coming down his neck is additional detail showing the damage that the axe did.
The other head sculpt has an undamaged mask and head, which by itself is very well done. The paint apps on Jason includes some splattered blood on his clothing, along with the very detailed and movie accurate deco. The articulation is also unchanged, except for the legs as mentioned above, and his accessories are made up of previous offerings with earlier figures.
Overall:
The Ultimate version of Friday The 13th Part 3 Jason Voorhees is an excellent update with superior deco, articulation, and accessories. Jason fans and horror goers will love this figure.
