The Disney Store released three new Elite 10″ Premium Series figures as part of their Star Wars Rogue One collection including Director Orson Krennic, Death Trooper, and Jyn Erso. These figures feature both plastic and fabric goods and include the likeness as seen in the film.
Orson Callan Krennic was a human male who served in theGalactic Republic as a Lieutenant Commander. After the Galactic Empire was formed, Krennic was promoted to commander and later the fleet equivalence of admiral. He also served as Director of the Advanced Weapons Research division of the Imperial Military during the Galactic Civil War. He was responsible for the security of the Death Star project, and commanded a squad of death troopers, wielded as his personal weapon against the Rebel Alliance.
During a battle between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance, Krennic met his end on the planet Scarif, where Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin deployed the Death Star to eliminate the Empire’s military base in an attempt to prevent the Death Star plans from being extracted.
Death troopers were an elite variant of the Galactic Empire’sstormtroopers that were a part of the Empire’s Imperial Intelligencewho served as protective details and bodyguards for important Imperial officers. They also acted as guards for officers in theTarkin Initiative.[1] They wore black suits of armor. Death troopers were trained in unarmed combat, heavy weapons, and sniping. As they specialized in commando missions, the troopers were experts at covering their tracks, leaving little evidence of their missions.
A squad of death troopers served under Director Orson Krennic’scommand, wielded as his personal protection since at least 13 BBY.Grand Admiral Thrawn also had a squadron of the death troopers under his command during his campaign against the rebellion. They were sometimes assigned to protect other high ranking personnel and were also present for the Battle of Scarif at the beginning of the Galactic Civil War. Death troopers were known to wield SE-14r light repeating blasters, E-11Ds, long-range blaster rifles similar to the DLT-19 heavy blaster rifle, and C-25 fragmentation grenades.
Death troopers were named after a legendary Advanced Weapons Research project to revive necrotic tissue, which resulted in the creation of uncontrollable Undead Troopers.

Director Orson Krennic comes crafted in his white Imperial outfit made of soft goods and detailed likeness to the film. The white Imperial uniform features a white shirt with the military ranking on the upper left, black pants, black boots made of plastic, and a long white trench coat. There is also a belt made of plastic over the shirt, with a holster for his blaster and holsters for other accessories. The head sculpt is nicely done and there is a wash over the hair, and the facial details including the eye balls are extremely well done. One aspect about the figure is that the hands are hard to put back on once off, and the peg joint between the wrist and forearm can be hard to remove if it comes out with the hand. This is why we couldn’t show him with both sets of hands, as pulling off the peg joint was too difficult. The other hand set are just open hands that cannot gran onto anything.
His articulation includes a ball jointed neck, ball socket chest, swivel-hinged shoulders, double hinged elbows, swivel-hinged and removable wrists, ball jointed hips, double hinged knees, ball jointed ankle, and hinged toes.
The Death Trooper is the first army building character in this scale by Disney Store and is truly a remarkable figure. The figure is made using both plastic and soft goods and depicts the likeness as seen in the film. He is sculpted in his black armor that comes packed with holsters for his accessories, including the three removable explosives in the front. The fabric pieces appear in between the body and the armor is placed over it. The fabric also allows the figure to be articulated, as leaving it completely covered in the plastic armor would interfere otherwise. One the right hip is a soft piece with velcro that can hold one of the blasters (the small one works the best). Included are two sets of interchangeable hand sculpts that are also difficult to put back on once removed. Also included are three explosives, a large blaster, and a small blaster. There is also an issue with getting the figure to stand up straight without falling over, as a figure stand or base would fix this problem.
