Mattel is bringing back the DC Universe Classics sculpts in 2017 with more Super Friends figures. The figures will be based on the classic Super Friends designs and include Batman, Green Lantern, Aquaman and Superman. Both Batman and Green Lantern are showing up at Canada Wal-Marts, and Batman uses a Masters of the Universe Classics sculpt (which is a slap in the face to fans for the most part as they cancelled it along with ThunderCats Classics and even didn’t keep enough stock at Digital River for customer service issues, only offering fans refunds leaving them without a figure).
Nothing has been confirmed and these could be exclusive to Wal-Mart stores in the US. But that is just our guess as Wal-Mart has been carrying other DC exclusives in years past for Mattel, including all MOTUC and DC shared parts figures. They figures also do not come with Collect & Connect parts, and with past experience, the price might not be lowered.
