DC Icons Justice League 7 Pack 6″ Rebirth Aquaman Figure Review

DC Collectibles is offering a Justice League 7 pack based on DC Comics Rebirth storyline in their Icons line. This 7 pack includes Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg. Each figure does not include accessories as opposed to the single pack release. Each figure in the 7 pack is also an update to the single pack, with an up-scaled sculpt, so that it’s a taller figure.

Thank you to DC Collectibles for providing their DC Icons Justice League 7 Pack for review. Look for this to his comic shops and online retailers beginning March 22nd, 2017.

DC Collectibles Justice League 7 pack 6″ Aquaman figure stands at roughly 6 1/4″ tall stands at roughly 6 1/4″ tall compared to being just under 6″ figure compared to the first version of the character released in the Icons line. Aquaman is sculpted as she appears in the DC Comics Rebirth storyline, which is a relaunch of the publisher back in 2016. As you can see in the comparison images, the figures sculpt is also bigger and bulkier, as are the rest of the figures in this box set compared to their individual releases.

Aquaman’s Rebirth outfit is a newly designed costume, and he is sculpted in a orange shirt and green pants that is a homage to classic Aquaman. The orange portion of the shirt has a texture on it that is nicely detailed. Around his waist is a gold belt with an “A” serving as the belt buckle, and on the collar of the shirt is gold trim. The pants are painted in a lighter green compared to the single pack release, which is also used for his forearms and hands.

As he does not come with any accessories, he hands are sculpted with close fists, which can be removed and are NOT compatible with the previous Aquaman Icons figure. As the peg joint is too big to work on this new version of Aquaman, he cannot be swapped with hand sculpts that are open fisted, leaving him unable to hold the staff for some dynamic poses like the previous figure. This is unfortunate, as Green Lantern hands can be swapped with his previous version, and he can use the constructs meant for the single pack figures and accessory pack. Take a look at his review HERE.

The box set comes with a MSRP of $100, but if you shop smart there are stores listed below that are selling it for less.
