Kidrobot’s line of 8″ Medium Vinyl Figures features the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in battle poses and are colored in their iconic colors. Leonardo is painted in blue and is sculpted in an action pose with two removable katana’s. The left leg is bent while the right leg sticks out to the side. The arms can only swivel, as can the wrists, and there is no elbow articulation. so posing the katana’s have limitations. Raphael is painted in red and includes two removable sais and is sculpted in an action pose with the right leg bent forward, and the left bent backwards, and the elbows are bent so he hold the sais in front of him.
Michelangelo is painted in orange, and is sculpted in an action pose with two removable nunchucks with real chain links. Both legs are belt, as are both elbows, and the left arm is sculpted across his body touching the other arm, so posing his left arm makes it difficult as both hands are touching. Donatello is painted purple, and is sculpted in an action pose with his iconic bow staff, and both of his elbows and legs are bent. The right leg is bent forward, and the left peg is backwards, while the right arm is out to the side so he can rotate his bow staff. The left arm is bent in towards the body, and the bow staff can be held in one, or both hands.
The paint apps on all of the turtles have a lighter color on the legs as opposed to the rest of the body, which is easier to tell on Michelangelo and Donatello. All of the Turtles have unique head sculpts that captures their personalities very nicely. Their arms and legs have the elbow and knee pads, and they each have the beginning letter of their names on their belts. The shell and chests are nicely sculpted, with the belt sculpted over it. The articulation on all of these is extremely limited, and also depends on how they are sculpted. Each comes with a ball jointed head, swivel arms, and swivel wrists. The left arm on Mikey is even more limited on the shoulder and wrist considering how it was sculpted.
Overall, for collectors of Vinyl figures, these are definitely nice looking collectibles, and make a nice addition to any Turtles collection.
