Hasbro Marvel Legends 6″ Marvel Knights MCU Daredevil Figure Review

Hasbro has finally given what fans have been clamoring for since the arrival of Netflix’s Marvel series, branded as the Marvel Knights series with a Man Thing as the build-a-figure.  The series includes MCU Daredevil, MCU Punisher, MCU Jessica Jones, MCU Elektra, Blade and Bullseye; all packed with a piece to build a hulking sized Man Thing.
Daredevil, the Netflix series that started them all, has now been (thanks to Hasbro) immortalized into plastic for the MCU.  Matt Murdock / Daredevil is portrayed in the series by Charlie Cox. Blinded during an accident at an early age, his father was killed by mobsters, leaving him to be taken in at Saint Agnes Orphanage. During his time there, Stick trained him to fight and master his enhanced senses, making him the vigilante he is today.

Matt Murdock debuted in Daredevil #1 (1964) and joined the MCU in his own Netflix series Daredevil (2015). His figures stands at 6.25″ and is based off his appearance in the second season of the series.

Daredevil comes with a pair of connecting billy clubs that can be stored on his thigh holster and a pair of alternate fisted hands. He has a nice clean paint job consisting mostly of flat black paint on top of the red plastic with a few silver buckles. His eyes are painted in glossy red paint to make them stand out from the red plastic.  The figure is 100% new sculpt making the figure unique in it’s own right. As for the likeness of the actor, it’s hard to judge a masked character but he does appear to have the chin of Charlie Cox. He is packed with the head of Man Thing as his build-a-figure piece.

Daredevil has the typical male articulation of a Marvel Legends figure. His articulation includes a ball jointed disc hinged neck, ball jointed shoulders,  double Jointed  elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ab-crunch, waist swivel. ball jointed hips with limited range of motion, swivel thighs, double jointed  knees, a swivel cut just above the ankle and swivel-hinged ankles.

This is the first figure to be released based on the Netflix’s Daredevil series, Diamond Select Toys version will hit stores in October. The Hasbro figure  has the revised mask, which was seen in most of season two, opposed to the Marvel Select version having the mask featured in the beginning episodes of season two.  Hasbro has hit another home run with this figure and definitely is the best cinematic version of the character. In fact  you can’t even hold Toybiz’s cinematic figure of Ben Affleck’s Daredevil  next to Hasbro’s and if you did, you wouldn’t think they’re both Marvel Legends (mostly due to poor articulation of the Toybiz figure).  This figure is absolutely great and I hope down the road we get an unmasked version of Matt Murdock, either in a suit or the black costume from the first season.
