Four Horsemen Studios – Mythic Legions: Coliseum, Advent Of Decay & Ogre Update

The Four Horsemen have sent along a massive update on Mythic Legions: Coliseum, Mythic Legions: Advent Of Decay, the Ogres and more.

We just got an update from our factory about the production schedule of Mythic Legions: Coliseum, and Mythic Legions: Advent of Decay (often referred to as Mythic Legions: 2.0).

As many of you know, since there’s no new tooling (other than Brontus, the Arena Troll) on Mythic Legions: Coliseum , we wanted to go into full production on that wave before the tooling process was finished and the full production was started on Mythic Legions: Advent of Decay. This would allow us to run both waves simultaneously while not affecting the production schedule of either wave.

Mythic Legions: Coliseum is in production full right now, and although we were hoping to have that wave in the warehouse and to begin shipping them out to customers before the end of this year, it looks like it’s going to take a little longer than we’d hoped, and the factory says they can have them finished and shipped out to us in late January 2018, before Chinese New Year begins. So, if all goes according to plan, expect the Mythic Legions: Coliseum wave to begin shipping out to pre-order customers in the first quarter 2018, and an in-stock sale of those items to follow immediately after all of the pre-orders have been shipped.

The news for Mythic Legions: Advent of Decay isn’t as great at the moment. We’re in production with those figures as well, and they’re currently in the tooling stage (we’re hoping to have some cool new images to show you soon), but the sheer volume of characters in the wave, combined with the massively positive Kickstarter response and the amount of Store Horsemen pre-orders we received have pushed all of the production milestones for that wave back a bit more than we’d anticipated. As of the launch of the Kickstarter campaign, our expected delivery date for Mythic Legions: Advent of Decay was April, 2018. Because of the delays mentioned above, that date has currently been pushed back by a few months, but we’re working hard with the factory to try to find ways – without cutting corners, of course – of bumping that date up so that we’ll at least be able to have the figures in our warehouse in spring 2018, but there’s definitely still going to be a little more of a delay than we’d hoped for on this wave. We apologize for this. We’re every bit as excited as all of you are to have the Mythic Legions: Advent of Decay figures not only in your hands, but in ours as well. Once we get all of the steps thoroughly ironed out with the factory, we’ll post another update with a more specific timeline and delivery dates. Many have been asking, and there absolutely WILL be another pre-order period for the Mythic Legions: Advent of Decay wave of figures. We’ll do that just after the tooling stage is finished, and before the full production begins. We’ll let you know when that date will be as soon as we have the production schedule finalized.

Also, we mentioned last week that the voting poll for Mythic Legions: All-Stars 2.0 will be going up soon. We’re in the process of finding the right polling platform to suit our needs and that will help to deter any possible cheating when voting on the wave. Once we have that finalized, we’ll put up an announcement about when the Mythic Legions: All-Stars 2.0voting will begin. To prepare yourself for that, just hop on over to the SourceHorsemen.com message boards and become a member so you can be included in the voting and make your voice heard.

Last, We had a really positive response at the 2017 San Diego Comic Con back in July about the two “Ogre Scaled” figures we revealed. They’re going to be characters that fall somewhere in between the average sized Mythic Legions character and one of the Mythic Legions: Trolls, and they’re about 9″ tall. At this point we’re referring to those as the “Barbarian Berzerker” and the “Alpha Ogre”. Those names may change as we move forward, but we’re hoping to reveal other characters in the “Ogre Scale” in the not too distant future, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for those.
