M. Bison is based on the Street Fighter V video game that was released in 2016, and includes key characters from the Street Fighter franchise such as Bison, Ryu, Guile, Balrog, Chun-Li and others. Bison stands at 7-1/2″ tall and is sculpted in his iconic red uniform with red trim, silver shoulder guards, gauntlets, and knee armor. The outfit includes a black wash over some parts over the ed, including his cape that is attached around his waist, and is made of a soft plastic. The dark grey shoulder pads, gauntlets, and knee armor have a silver deco wash to make it look worn and battle damaged, which is a nice touch. There are two capes included with this figure, with one around his legs, and the other sculpted to represent a flying motion cape. Removing the skirt is a fairly simple process, and the waist and legs pop off easily and this allows you to swap out the skirt.
M.Bison includes five sets of interchangeable hand sculpts, which is a mix of open handed and a set of fisted hands. Most of the open hand sculpts are almost identical with the differences of how the fingers are positioned. There is a set of energy hands with purple deco on the palms, and works well with the Psycho Power, and Psycho Axe effects. He also features three interchangeable head sculpts, which allows many great display options between the three heads, five sets of hands, energy effects, and two capes. There is also a set of arms that connect to look as though he’s folding his arms, just like he does in the game seconds before the fight begins. These arms don’t have hands, and instead have a rectangular shaped peg and hole that connect to keep the arms folded. The head sculpts are missing the top of the head and hair, and instead have been replaced by a square shaped peg that is compatible with the hat, which is also made of soft plastic.
The figures sculpt itself is solid, and is made of a hard plastic showcasing his muscular build and loaded with articulation. M. Bison includes a ball jointed neck, ball jointed chest, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, hinged elbows, ball jointed wrists, waist rotation, ball jointed hips, double-hinged knees, ball jointed ankles and hinged toes.
Bison also includes an acrylic figure stand and with a Street Fighter V logo base. The stand allows Bison to showcase many poses as featured in the game, including giving him flight poses that works well with the flight cape.
Overall, Bison is an excellent figure worthy to add to any action figure and toy collection. High-end figures are some of our favorites, and Storm Collectibles have done an excellent job capturing the characters likeness and giving fans a beautiful figure.
