Kokomo Toys have updated their eBay Store with many listings of vintage toys from Toybiz, McFarlane Toys, Kenner and more. Keep in mind that there are many more products available and from different toylines than what is shown here.
The 1980’s and 1990’s was the golden era of toys, and not only were toys much cheaper to buy, but they also had more of a variety from many different franchises that some of today’s toylines are using as a template to update these vintage lines with today’s more detailed style.
Back in the day, most of these figures were 4″ – 5″, and were considered decent enough given the fact that they had more articulation than other lines such as Masters of the Universe and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
In 1990, Toybiz offered the start of their Marvel run with a new line called Marvel Super Heroes, and included many of the most iconic characters that are dated before the 1992 X-Men cartoon. Some of these offerings include what is shown below, as well as addition Marvel figures.
McFarlane Toys Movie Maniac’s line was offered in 1999, and these offerings include Freddy Krueger, Leatherface, Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, Scream – Ghost Face, Pumpkin Head, The Fly and The Thing. Some of these characters we’re hoping that NECA Toys can update, but nothing has been announced.
Kenner’s Alien vs. Predator line was simply awesome, and NECA Toys has been working hard on updating these figures over the past several years. Besides what is shown below, additional figures are also offered such as Warrior Alien Renegade Predator Figure 2 Pack. In addition, some 2005 figures from McFarlane Toys are also available.
