Super7 Masters Of The Universe ReAction Figures Wave 4 Review

Super7 is offering the latest wave in their Masters Of The Universe ReAction figure lineup, which includes Evil-Lyn, Faker, Orko, Mekaneck,Ram Man and Scare Glow. These ReAction figures are reimagined versions of Masters of the Universe, as if the franchise was created in the 1970’s, otherwise known as the golden age, as opposed in the 1980’s. Much like the first three waves and some exclusives, these include five points of articulation and comes with character specific accessories.

This year at San Diego Comic-Con, Super7 had some big announcements for fans such as a Snake Mountain playset that will be offered through a kickstarter type funding project, as well as new Filmation style figures in the Masters of the Universe Classics line including She-Ra, Mantenna, Fisto and Grizzlor. Since Super7 continued the line on behalf of Mattel, they have been doing a remarkable job on their offerings, and even just launched a new 5.5″ Retro line that’s inspired by the 1980’s action figures, sculpted by the Four Horsemen.

Thank you to Super7 for providing their Masters Of The Universe ReAction Figures Wave 4 for review.

Availability: July 2018

Since 2016, Super7 has offered some iconic characters such as He-Man, Skeletor, Trap Jaw, The Sorceress, Trim-Klops, Man-At-Arms and others in this new Retro style 3 3/4″ figure line. This wave introduces more of the heroic and evil warriors, and fills in some gaps to help round out the collection nicely. This wave includes three members of the Masters of the Universe, including Ram Man, Mekaneck and Orko, and three members of Skeletor’s Evil Warrior, including Evil-Lyn, Scareglow and Faker. Each figure features 5 points of articulation similar to the style of 1970’s and some of the 1980’s action figures, and this wave includes some key features that fans normally don’t get to see. This includes the fact that Scareglow can actually glow-in-the-dark, and Mekaneck’s neck can extend.

The figures are inspired by their retro outfits and colors. Evil-Lyn includes her yellow skin and dark and light blue outfit, and a light blue staff with orb. Faker gets his light blue skin, purple shorts, purple boots, a black belt, and orange chest armor, red hair and a orange sword. Scareglow includes the glow-in-the-dark feature, and there are skeletal deco painted over it on his head, chest, arms and legs, dark blue shorts and boots, a soft vinyl purple cape and a green axe. Ram Man is the bulkiest figure released in the line so far, and includes his silver helmet and shoulder pads, silver belt, red shirt, green pants with the spring-like design, black boots, and includes his silver axe. Mekaneck features the ability to raise and lower his neck by the slider on his back, which is a great ability for this ReAction figure. He is painted in a red and helmet with silver goggles, silver neck, red and silver chest amor, blue arms and legs, black lion cloth a green belt and silver boots. His club is painted in yellow. Orko is the smallest figure released in the Masters of the Universe ReAction line so far, and is sculpted in his red robe, orange hat, black mask over his face, light purple scarf around his mouth, yellow eyes, blue skin, a black O on the chest, and a yellow wand.

Overall, this is one of our personal waves as some great characters with action features such as Scareglow and Mekaneck are included. Fans of the Masters of the Universe will surely want to check these out for themselves, and if you haven’t done so already, make sure to pick up the first three waves.
