Takara Tomy is offering a 1980’s cartoon version of Optimus Prime in their Transformers Masterpiece line, which is MP-44. Recently, fans have noticed a bit of a price hike on Transformers of this scale and size, and Optimus Prime is one of the most expensive figures you’ll own. Optimus Prime includes many accessories he was seen with in the classic Transformers Generation One cartoon of the 1980’s, which includes an axe, rifle, Matrix of Leadership, three heads one of which is Starscream and he also comes with shoulder pieces, jetpack, Rover, a trailer, energy spikes and more. Shown twice in the images are the humans Spike and Sparkplug, but are not specified as part of the accessories in this box set.
BigBadToyStore are accepting pre-orders for $449.99, with a release date of August 2019.
Making a third appearance into the Transformers Masterpiece line is the brave leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime. This version of Optimus will feature a more cartoon accurate styling.
