According to an anonymous tip and our very own Batman Marc for doing some digging, we’ve been told that the DC Monster Jam Trucks that is currently being released by Mattel is moving to Spin Master. This move will come as early as January 2019, according to our sources. It sounds as though this move happened sudden, and its unclear what plans Spin Master has for the Monster Jam trucks at this time.
What we’ve also been told is that there is also the possibility that the Batman Missions line that Mattel is working on will also not continue, but other lines such as DC Multiverse, Imaginext and other offerings will continue on for the next couple of years, according to several sources.
Long term plans for the master DC toy license is unclear, as Warner Brothers owns the property, it’ll be up to them should they decide to renew it with Mattel on other properties such as action figures in the long term. We hope to learn more about this in the coming months ahead, and hope to have more on this story at New York ToyFair 2019.
