S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball Super Zamasu (Potara Ver.) Figure Review

Before the Tournament of Power, DragonBall Super introduced to a new villain named Zamasu that was a Kai from Universe 10, and he was the Supreme Kai apprentice to Gowasu. In this storyline, there were three versions of Zamasu, one that originated from the alternated main timeline from Universe 10 that was killed by Beerus, one from Future Trunks timeline, and Goku Black. Goku Black is the body of Goku that the present Zamasu had used the Super Dragon Balls to switch his body with Goku and then he went to Future Trunks’ timeline using his Time Ring. Goku Black and Zamasu jointed forces and terrorized Future Trunks’ timeline, causing Trunks to use the time machine to bring Goku and Vegeta back as reinforcements.

This figure comes with accessories to create Fusion Zamasu, which is the combined form of Goku Black and Zamasu.

Thank you to Bluefin for the providing their S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball Super Zamasu Figure for review.

Availability: October 2019

Zamasu is packaged in a standard window box with nicely done artwork of the figure and her accessories on the front, left side, and back.

Zamasu features a great likeness to his anime appearance as seen in DragonBall Super and features interchangeable parts to create Fusion Zamasu, which is the combined form of Zamasu and Goku Black. Zamasu is sculpted and painted in his grey, black and red outfit with a gold button on his chest, red belt, and white boots. The lower portion of the outfit is made of a soft plastic to make the articulation in the legs a wider range of motion, Each one of his right hands, including the fusion arm/hand has the silver ring that is sculpted to it, and the fusion arm is bigger so you can see the detail in the ring.

His head sculpt is nicely done, and he comes with four interchangeable face plates that are interchangeable. This works by removing the piece of hair above it, and switching out the face. The face plates include two of Zamasu’s face, and two of the Fusion Zamasu face. Each of the face plates are similar as they share the same facial likenesses, and each is given the earring on his left ear. The two Zamasu face’s include a closed and grinning expressions, and the Fusion Zamasu face’s include grinning and a screaming mouth sculpt.

Zamasu comes with the translucent halo that attaches to the figures back by connecting it to the clear plastic piece that clips on his back as specified in the instructions. The halo is nicely done and can also swivel on his back to adjust it.

Fusion Zamasu comes with additional parts to create this design, this includes a interchangeable neck piece, and a right arm along with the two face plates. The right arm has some weight to it and becomes a facial point of the figure in this form. This piece has some great sculpting to it and looks just like it did in the anime series.

In addition, Zamasu also includes four right hands, three left hands, a neck piece to swap out to create Fusion Zamasu, a Halo with an acrylic attachment, and the Fusion right arm.

His articulation includes a ball jointed neck, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, ball jointed wrists, ball jointed torso, ball jointed waist, swivel-hinged hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles. The Fusion arm also has a ball jointed shoulder, swivel bicep, double hinged elbow, and a ball hinged hand.

Overall, Zamasu is an excellent figure and a great addition to the line. The figure features a great sculpt, paint applications, accessories and a great likeness. Fans of the DragonBall Super series will definitely want to add this figure to their collection. You can purchase him online now for roughly $69.99 USD at our valued sponsors below:
