Tamashaii Nations has announced the largest figure in the S.H. Figurarts Dragon Ball Z – Great Ape Vegeta, which will be available in July 2020. The Great Ape figure is priced at 18,700 Yen, which is approx. $170 USD.
The figure stands almost 13″ and is constructed using die-cast and plastic parts. The die-cast parts are in the chest to help support the arms due to his size. The construction of the figure includes a click feature to support extra weight and size. Furthermore, a special pullout feature allows you to recreate Great Ape like poses.
The Great Ape Vegeta includes a movable jaw, which allows you to howl or clutch his jaw as seen in the show. He also comes with an interchangeable face part that includes a right eye damaged by Goku’s blast. Also included are extra hands to crush Goku, as well as a scaled Yajirobe, which looks to be more of a PVC figure that is non-articulated. The tail can also be interchangeable with a sliced off tail, and the figure also comes with a black stand for display.
